Cherry Next Step Living I & II provides Supported Living services for adults who live independently and do not require 24-hour supervision. Services are individualized, scheduled, and delivered in accordance with each person’s Person-Centered Plan (PCP).

Our program supports individuals in maintaining independence while receiving structured assistance to promote stability, safety, and meaningful community involvement.

Supported Living is a community-based service designed to assist individuals with daily living needs while allowing them to live in their own home or residence of choice.

Services focus on:

• Building and maintaining independent living skills
• Supporting daily routines and stability
• Encouraging community participation
• Promoting personal choice and self-determination

Supports are not continuous and are provided based on assessed needs and authorized service hours.

Cherry Next Step Living I & II operates under a conflict-free housing model.

• Individuals maintain their own lease or housing agreement
• Housing is not contingent upon receiving services
• Participation in services is voluntary
• Services are delivered independently of housing arrangements

This model protects individual choice, rights, and autonomy.

Based on individual need and authorization, services may include:

• Daily living skills (meal planning, budgeting, housekeeping routines)
• Medication reminders (non-skilled)
• Appointment coordination and follow-up
• Community engagement and social supports
• Transportation coordination (non-medical)
• Safety and wellness check-ins
• Crisis prevention planning
• Family and care team coordination (with consent)

Cherry Next Step Living I & II currently serves:

• Pitt County
• Craven County
• Washington County
• Surrounding areas based on availability

Services are provided in accordance with person-centered planning requirements. Housing and services are seperate.
